Frequently asked questions

Can my powermonkey battery be left in direct sunlight?

Where possible, we advise that you keep your powermonkey battery unit out of direct, strong sunlight. 

If I am not going to use my monkey or gorilla charger for a while, is it best to store it with a charge remaining?

Yes.  If you plan to store your gorilla or monkey portable charger for a long period of time without use, it should be stored with at least 60% charge remaining.  This helps keeps the internal battery in good condition.

How do I register my product for warranty?

We guarantee your satisfaction. All products have a standard 1 year return to manufacturer warranty covering manufacturer defect. However for powergorilla and minigorilla you are required to register your product with us to secure the warranty. To do this please email support@powertraveller.com with your name, contact number and details of your product. 

Can I leave my Powertraveller charger unused for long periods of time?

Your portable charger will retain up to 75 percent of its charge for up to 6 months.

However, a battery needs to be conditioned, much like a car battery.  You would not leave your car unused for months at a time and then expect it to start.  The more often you use your portable charger, the better performance you can expect.

Can I order via telephone?

The preferred method for orders is via our website.  This means you will get a unique customer order number and it is much easier for us to help track your order. 

In occasional instances it may be possible to place an order via telephone but please note we DO NOT take orders for tips over telephone.
