The recessed LED lights indicate the power stored in the unit (6 green lights show the unit is fully charged) and when unit needs to be recharged the last LED will turn red. Recharge the powermonkey discovery via your computer's USB port. Control of the powermonkey discovery is via the metal on/off button located at the top of the unit, whilst the USB port has built-in self-sensing technology which allows the unit to optimise the charging parameters for the iPhone and other smartphones.
Recharge the powermonkey discovery via your computer's USB socket using the included USB to micro USB charging cable. If you wish to recharge the powermonkey discovery via the mains, you will need to purchase one of our universal travel chargers.

The powermonkey discovery will charge most 5V devices including Smartphones, standard mobile phones, iPods, Sat Navs, GPS systems, handheld games consoles, e-readers and more.

To turn the unit on, press and hold the on/off button (located above the LEDs on the top of the unit) for 3 seconds. The LEDs will scroll then flash.
Whilst the unit is off, just click the on/off button once quickly. The LEDs will light up according to the level of charge remaining. If the unit is full, the green light will be on the far left, gradually moving to the right as the battery depletes. If the last LED on the right-hand side (presuming you are holding the unit with the LEDs at the top) is red, the powermonkey discovery requires charging.
Whilst the unit is on, the flashing green LED will be on the right if the unit is full, gradually moving to the left as the battery depletes. When the far left LED flashes red, the unit requires recharging.
Plug the USB connector of the included USB cable into the bottom of the powermonkey discovery. Attach the tip you require to the other end of the cable (the DC end) and connect to your device.
If you do not have the correct connector, you can use the USB charging cable that came with the device you are trying to charge directly with the discovery. Alternatively, contact email@example.com for any additional connectors you may need.
Attach the included USB / DC charging cable into any 5v USB output device (e.g. laptop) and the DC end into the DC socket of the powermonkey discovery located above the LEDs on the top of the unit. A full recharge will take approximately 7 hours.

There is no need for us to supply this as you can simply use your white Apple sync/charge cable directly with the powermonkey discovery. If you wish, you can purchase a separate iPhone/iPod adaptor by using our tip selector.

The powermonkey discovery has LEDs to show the level of charge remaining in the unit and whilst the powermonkey classic does not, the powermonkey explorer has a LCD screen to show level of charge remaining.
Both the powermonkey discovery and powermonkey classic are neither water-resistant nor waterproof - the powermonkey explorer is water-resistant.
The powermonkey explorer also comes with a water-resistant, folding solar panel to allow you to recharge the powermonkey explorer unit directly from the sun.
The powermonkey discovery does not come with a universal mains charger, both the powermonkey classic and the powermonkey explorer do.
The powermonkey discovery has a different form-factor to the powermonkey classic and powermonkey explorer. The powermonkey discovery is the same shape as an iPhone and measures about two thirds of the size. The powermonkey classic and powermonkey explorer are bullet-shaped.

No, you are not able to daisy-chain with the powermonkey discovery. Charge the discovery first, then use the charged discovery to charge your device.
First, check that the powermonkey discovery has charge remaining by clicking the on/off button once quickly whilst the unit is switched off.
If no LEDs light up, attach the powermonkey discovery to a 5v USB output source (e.g. a laptop) and try charging via the included USB/DC cable.
